German legend Lukas Podolski scored the only game of the game as Germany beat England despite England being on top for long periods of the game.
England’s stand-in skipper Gary Cahill believes England would have won Germany if they had taken their chances.
“We should have won, we had the better chances in the game,” Cahill said.
“I think we’ll look back and reflect that if we took our chances, we would have won that game.
“It’s a learning curve for us. If we’re more clinical in front of goal, we win it.
“I thought we played well, especially in the first half and controlled the game.”
