Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic has played second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois this season, and has only featured in the EFL Cup this season.
The Bosnian spoke about the challenge of performing to a high standard when you haven’t had a regular run of games.
“It was good to play (against West Ham), I enjoyed it,” he said. “It was good to show the manager that I’m ready to play when needed and show him that I can play at a high level.
“I love being here, it’s a fantastic club, I have great team-mates and when I can contribute it means a lot. If you’re on it in training every single day and stay sharp it makes it easier to come into games.” He told Chelsea TV on Friday Night Live.
