Chelsea youngster Andreas Christensen is currently in his second season on loan with Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach and the German club are hoping they can convince Chelsea to them extend Christensen’s loan spell beyond the end of the season.
Christensen is highly rated at Chelsea and is also seen as the long term successor to captain John Terry.
Borussia Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl hopes he can convince Chelsea to let Borussia Monchengladbach keep Andreas Christensen beyond this season.
“I can’t imagine that Chelsea would sell him to us, but maybe we can loan him for another one or two years. If he is with us for three to four whole years, that would be a great story,” Eberl said.
“Our pledge is that Andreas feels comfortable with us and always reaches his goals. If Chelsea cannot offer him that, we might have a chance to have him with us even longer.”
