Chelsea are out of the EFL Cup, after the Blues lost to West Ham last night. Chelsea found themselves 2-0 down to the Hammers soon after the restart of the second half, and Antonio Conte tried to save the situation by throwing in Pedro, Eden Hazard and Diego Costa, but all the Blues could get was just one goal by Gary Cahill in stoppage time.

Speaking after the game, Conte revealed he tried to change the situation with those changes.

He said: “I think we didn’t expect the second goal so early and that changed our plan. Then we tried to change the situation by putting on fresh players. We created many chances to score and only did it at the end of the match.”

Chelsea play Southampton next during the weekend, and hopefully we will get back to winning ways.
