Chelsea youngster Andreas Christensen is in the final season of a two-year loan at German side Borussia Monchengladbach.
Borussia Monchengladbach are keen to sign the youngster permanently after his impressive displays but Borussia Monchengladbach chief Max Eberl admits it’s unlikely to happen.
Max Eberl also revealed Andreas Christensen will only return to Chelsea at the end of his loan deal if he is promised game time by Antonio Conte.
“It will be hard work,” Eberl told Sky Germany when asked about the possibility of signing Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen.
“I hope it can happen but I do not know if we’re going to buy him. Probably not.
“Perhaps there are other options to consider. We need to talk to Chelsea.
“Andreas is very attached to Chelsea. He also says that if he gets the chance to play for Chelsea, he’ll go back.”
