Chelsea transfer target and Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci has poured cold water on speculation linking him with a move to Chelsea in January.
Bonucci is Antonio Conte’s number one transfer target in January as he seeks to strengthen Chelsea’s backline. Chelsea are reportedly willing to spend up to £60 million on the defender as Roman Abramovich is willing to spend big to maintain Chelsea’s title challenge.
29-year-old Bonucci who is reportedly in negotiations with Juventus over a new deal has insisted he is happy to remain at Juventus.
“I feel I have the Juve shirt sewn to my body because I breathe it everyday, but wearing the national team shirt is also an honour,” Bonucci told RAI.
“There is nothing better than feeling you are a player that youngsters look up to. I like being this and giving 100 percent when I wear this shirt.
“I feel like I am at a turning point in my career now. Anybody can have one or two great years but it is now up to me to continue this. I will give all I have got to improve my qualities and be important for Juve and for the national team.”
