Chelsea is fighting for the Premier League title this season after a disappointing campaign last season and Diego Costa has been instrumental in Chelsea’s title challenge with his goals this season.
The 28-year-old striker played 90 minutes in Chelsea’s 5-0 thrashing of Everton on Saturday and also got himself on the scoresheet.
According to a report by Spanish media outlet El Confidencial via Metro UK, Diego Costa arrived Spain’s training camp with a groin injury. The injury doesn’t seem serious but Costa might miss Spain’s games against Lithunia and England.
This news will come as a big blow to Chelsea if the injury will rule the striker out of our next Premier League against Middlesbrough. We hope he recovers on time to play for Chelsea. There isn’t any official confirmation of the story yet from the Spanish FA so it might not really be serious as feared.
