Chelsea had to take maximum points against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, and the Blues did what was required of them.

After the game, stand-in captain Gary Cahill analysed how the game went.

He said: “It is a massive three points for us against a rival with a lot of history in this game

“It was a big fixture and three points is all that mattered to us.

“Tottenham started very well, very bright, and we started poor which gave them a lot of momentum in the game. They got the early goal but we went in at half-time knowing we could find that second gear. I don’t think we clicked in the first half, going forward or defensively, and Dele Alli between the lines caused us a few problems early on.” Said Cahill.
