Chelsea development squad yesterday played a 1-1 draw with Everton in the Premier League 2.

Team coach Adi Viveash made three changes from the 2-2 draw against Derby County a week ago, with Dujon Sterling, Mason Mount and Van Ginkel coming into the side. The coach lined the team up with a 3-5-2 system, the back three and goalkeeper were unchanged with Zouma joining Fikayo Tomori and Trevoh Chalobah in front of Bradley Collins.

Chelsea U23 had failed to score a first half goal in each of their previous three league outings, though it took just five minutes for them to find the breakthrough away from home through Dujon Sterling.

With the game played in foggy condition, Everton found their leveller five minutes before the break, and the game ended all square.

The development squad are next in action at Stamford Bridge when they host the senior side of Oxford United in the Checkatrade Trophy on Tuesday November 8.
