Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola is hoping to work with Antonio Conte and be part of the amazing work going on at Chelsea.
The Italian who was a fans’ favourite during his time at Chelsea has been impressed with Conte’s work, and is open to the idea of a coaching role under Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge.
“I am saying something obvious if I say one day I want to be Chelsea manager,” Zola told The Sun.
“But I’ve always said I would like to be a Chelsea coach.
“But I haven’t spoken to Antonio about that. I like to see my old club in good hands.
“I’m really happy for Antonio and I hope he’s successful.”
An opening could appear at Stamford Bridge if long-time assistant coach Steve Holland leaves the club on a permanent deal to coach under Gareth Southgate at England.
