Diego Costa’s fine form for Chelsea this season hasn’t stopped Chelsea from monitoring some of the best strikers in Europe.
According to a report by Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, Chelsea had scouts at the Estadio do Dragao to access 20-year-old Porto striker Andre Silva during Porto’s Champions League game with Club Brugge.
Andre Silva must have impressed the Chelsea scouts sent to watch him after scoring against Club Brugge.
A move for Andre Silva won’t be easy as the young striker recently signed a new five year contract with Porto that includes a £52 million release clause.
Chelsea will have to fight off competition from Premier League rivals Manchester United who also sent scouts to watch Andre Silva.
