Chelsea U18 side yesterday got their first away victory of the season against Brighton.

Jody Morris made three changes to the side that beat Leicester City last weekend, with goalkeeper Jared Thompson plus defenders Reece James and Cole Dasilva returning at the back.

Taylor-Crossdale put Chelsea ahead in the 23rd minute after he fired an audacious shot from 20 yards out into the top left corner for his 11th goal in 10 youth team appearances this term.

Dan Cashman equalised for the hosts 3 minutes from halftime.

The second half was an open contest as both sides looked to find the crucial third goal. It was the Blues U18 who got the goal through defender Richard Nartey, as he headed the young Blues ahead in the 72nd minute.

Substitute Callum Hudson-Odoi sealed the victory for chelsea 3 minutes later, as he skipped away from a challenge on halfway and advanced dangerously towards goal down the left channel before curling a perfect finish into the bottom far corner for his maiden youth team goal.

The Chelsea youngsters then saw the game out with the 3-1 victory.
