Antonio Conte took over as Chelsea manager during the summer, and in just few months of managing the team, he understands what it’s like to work with owner, Roman Abramovich.
Speaking to Sky Italia, Conte says of Abramovich: “He’s a very demanding employer but a great football enthusiast.
“Mr Abramovich is an employer and owner who has great passion for football. He wants to know and understand your ideas.
He also revealed how much the owner follows the team, even in training.
“He went to Austria to follow our training sessions. He comes to Cobham to spend time with us and watch the videos I show to my players, because he really wants to understand. I think this is wonderful.” He said.
Abramovich bought the club back in 2003, and has seen a number of managerial changes since then. Hopefully, Conte doesn’t feel Roman’s big hammer for many years.
