Willian and a move to join former boss Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge, are back in the rumour mill.

Willian was a hugely influential player, and the United boss is hoping he can land the Brazilian.

According to Tony Banks of the Daily Express, Mourinho believes Willian can play a key role in helping rebuild United.

Banks wrote: “Jose Mourinho though rates the 28-year-old highly, and believes his free running skills and pace could be a vital asset as he attempts to rebuild Manchester United.

Willian only signed a new four-year deal at Stamford Bridge in July, but Mourinho is ready to test the waters with Chelsea with a January move for a player who has not started a league match since the beginning of October.”

Willian has played sparingly for Chelsea since Conte’s switch to a 3-4-3 formation, and Mourinho is hoping to use his lack of game time to lure him to Old Trafford.
