Former Tottenham manager, Harry Redknapp has claimed that no Chelsea player will get into a fully fit Spurs starting 11.
I don’t know if Harry has been under the influence of something, or he’s clearly being biased due to the fact that he has coached Tottenham before, but whatever the case, he surely doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
Despite Chelsea’s 2-1 victory yesterday, former Tottenham boss Redknapp still suggests his former side have a stronger starting XI.
“I think when they have got a fully fit team, I would not want to be swapping anyone in Chelsea’s best team for Tottenham’s,” Redknapp said.
“Maybe Chelsea are top of the league, but you do not stop the league today.
“The back four, you get Alderweireld back, you get Rose back, you get a fully fit squad, and I think Tottenham are excellent.
“In the first half I thought they completely outplayed Chelsea today, Chelsea got the goal at the right time and it brought them back into the game, second half they were much better, but I still think Tottenham will be bang in there at the end of the season.
“In terms of squad, you would take Chelsea, but the actual starting eleven, I would not swap any of that Tottenham team personally.
“I think there are three or four players in that Chelsea team who are not good enough to be playing in a team that wins the Premier League. I still think they are short at left-back, I’m still not convinced by the three at the back, I still don’t know if they have enough flair in midfield.” Said Redknapp.
One would wonder if this was coming from someone who has managed at the top level.
