Everyone has a story, and John Terry has his too. The Chelsea captain, famously touted as ‘Captain, Leader & Legend’ once used to wash toilets and clean boots while coming up through the ranks at Chelsea.

He shared a photo on Instagram of himself carrying boots while still a teenager, and he captioned it: “16 years old Cleaning the kit, showers, toilets and boots was a great learning experience coming through the ranks and something the kids miss out on today ⚽”

John Terry has been at the club since he was 14 and made his Chelsea debut on 28 October 1998 as a late substitute in a League Cup tie with Aston Villa.
