You can call it sour grapes, bitterness or being disillusioned — though I choose to call it the joke of the century.
Tottenham striker Harry Kane, who could barely get a shot on target against Chelsea on Saturday has claimed that Tottenham were the better side in their 2-1 loss to Chelsea.
Kane said: “Everyone knows we probably played better than Chelsea over the 90 minutes but we’ve come away with nothing and that’s difficult,” he said.
“It’s been a tough week to go out of the Champions League and now lose here but it’s early, we’ve still plenty of games left in the Premier League and Swansea next week is definitely one we’re now looking at to try and get back to winning ways and put this week behind us.” Kane said.
If Kane had said “Everyone knows we probably played better than Chelsea over the 35 minutes of the first-half”, he would have been correct. But after the first 35 minutes of the game, Chelsea were the dominant side till the end of the match.
From Harry Redknapp to Harry Kane, I can’t tell what’s wrong with Tottenham.
