Liverpool are currently top of the league after 11 games and are just a point ahead of Chelsea who are placed second and also fighting for the title.
Even though Chelsea have been impressive this season, former Leicester and Derby midfielder Robbie Savage thinks Liverpool will pip Chelsea to the title.
“Chelsea were absolutely scintillating when they put five past Everton – but Liverpool are the team to watch this season,” Savage told Daily Mirror.
“It seems anything Antonio Conte can do, Jurgen Klopp can do even better – and Liverpool could have scored 10 against Watford the next day before they settled for just six.
“Back in August, I tipped Klopp to lead Liverpool back into the top four but now I actually believe they can win the title this season.
“Of course, we are only 11 games in and there is a long way to go.
“Manchester City have played some exotic stuff under Pep Guardiola and Arsenal are unbeaten since losing on the opening weekend.
“But the Reds’ high-pressing, high-scoring, high-octane football under Klopp is the one to watch.
“It’s no accident they have already won at the Emirates, won at Stamford Bridge and played Tottenham off the park at White Hart Lane.
“Liverpool are top today – and they may take some shifting.”
Pundits shouldn’t rule out the Chelsea team under Conte because Chelsea is gradually building a momentum since the switch to 3-4-3.
