Diego Costa is in super form this season, and he’s topping the scorers chart with 8 goals already.
Everton defender Phil Jagielka is wary of the threat Costa poses, and he hopes to nullify Costa today.
He said: “Diego Costa likes to get wound up and we have had a few interesting battles over the years. Sometimes it’s good to get engrossed in a battle if you think he has gone too far, but at other times you are playing into his hands because that is how he gets himself into games,” said Jagielka.
“It is all about trying to work out moments of form, moments in the game, exactly what is going on.
“It is just one approach [to him] but maybe you pick him up [after a clash], pat him on the back and shake him by the hand and that plays more mind games with him thinking, ‘I’ve just volleyed this guy he should be wanting to kill me!’
“It is about doing your homework into what sort of guy you are playing.” said Jagielka.
Costa, who has scored 3 goals in 3 games against Everton will be looking to add to his tally.
