Chelsea striker Dominic Solanke grabbed a brace as England Under-20s defeated Iran 4-1 in their final game of the Continental Cup.
The result ensures the Young Lions finished in second spot in the tournament in South Korea, where the squad will return next summer for the U20s World Cup.
With the first half ending with just one goal scored by Adam Armstrong, just six minutes after his arrival from the bench at half time, Solanke pounced to double the lead before Iran’s Reza Jafari pulled a goal back.
But any hopes of a comeback were quickly dashed by fellow Chelsea youngster Izzy Brown, who is currently on loan at Rotherham, on 68 minutes.
And with just under 15 left to play Solanke grabbed his second and wrapped up the scoring to seal a convincing win for England.
