Interim England boss Gareth Southgate is expected to be named permanent England manager, and he wants Chelsea’s long-serving assistant coach, Steve Holland in his team.
Holland, who’s been helping out Southgate on a part-time basis since 2013 will likely leave Chelsea permanently at the end of the season.
According to the Daily Mail, England and Chelsea have managed to reach a compromise that will satisfy all parties involved. Steve Holland will be joining Southgate on a part-time basis, turning into a full-time job in the summer.
Holland has been one of the longest-serving members of the Chelsea coaching staff, joining the club in 2009 and getting promoted to assistant by Andre Villas-Boas in 2011.
