Many people were shocked when Chelsea released the line-up for Saturday’s match against Everton, and one notable absence from the 18-men selection was Willian. Many expected Willian to replace Pedro or at least be on the bench, but he was nowhere to be found.
The Chelsea winger had previously been on a compassionate leave due to the death of his mother, but he has since returned and featured in the League Cup game against West Ham, as well as a substitute appearance against Southampton.
This time around, Willian was away due to illness. According to ESPN’s Chelsea correspondent Liam Twomey, it was an illness that had the player sent back home to recover from. This could also affect his status in the Brazilian national team, as he was one of the 24 men selected by manager Tite to join the squad for their next games in South America’s World Cup Qualification tournament against Argentina and Peru.
The word on Willian is he's ill & been sent home to recover #cfc

Hopefully, he recovers from this in due time.
I think conte should consider Fabregas and John obi Mikel in squad
The system is better and Hazard is playing an awesome game I really like him let Chelsea players continue to shine but also remember John obi and Fabregas Mr Conte just give them also a chance to play
