Bertrand Traore was heavily involved in Chelsea’s pre-season, often playing as the second-striker in the now discarded 4-2-4 setup, but was surprisingly sent on loan at the last minute.

The youngster who’s currently on loan with Ajax has revealed his disappointment, as he feels he was ready to play for the first team.

He told Dutch magazine ELF Voetbal: “I felt and feel that I am ready for Chelsea [so I was disappointed at first].

“I did not see the loan overall [picture]. Why did I play so much in pre-season?

“Why was I allowed to participate so often under Guus Hiddink? Why do young players get no real chance at Chelsea?” he continued.

“It’s good for the composition of the squad if it is also home to a couple of talented youngsters.”

“The youngster then revealed that he’s over the disappointment and want to win with Ajax.

“I want to win all there is to win with Ajax”, the 21-year-old forward explained.

“I want to become champions and win the cup – and go very far in the Europa League.

“And be important for the team with many goals and assists.” He said.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
