West Ham have entered the race to sign Cesc Fabregas, as there are concerns over the future of midfield linchpin Dimitri Payet, who has attracted interest across Europe, according to Bleacher Report.
The Chelsea midfielder has been deemed as expendable by Antonio Conte, and Chelsea are willing to let him leave the club on loan in January and even subsidise his wages. Chelsea believe that Fabregas is too expensive to sit on the bench, hence the reason for many loan rumours of late.
Fabregas has found himself out of favour during the early part of manager Antonio Conte’s reign, featuring just once in a Premier League starting lineup this season.
Fabregas has not played a game for Chelsea since the loss to Arsenal, and Conte’s switch to a 3-4-3 formation has further worsened his case.
Fabregas has suffered from thigh problems at times this season, keeping him further away from the team.
