If ‘breathtaking’ isn’t the perfect word to describe Chelsea’s current form in the league, I don’t know what is. 5 games played since the tactical switch, 5 won, 16 goals scored, 0 conceded — it is simply surreal.

The last time I saw Chelsea play football close to this was in the title-winning 14/15 season, and even that season wasn’t as spectacular as the past 5 games of Chelsea. To see our players playing with all seriousness and zest again is very amazing. Everything seems to be working out just fine for us at the moment. Before now, the maximum expectation was a Champions League finish, but the team has surpassed that, and currently sits at the top of the EPL. Hazard, who always was an amazing player, but dropped to an unseen low last season, is shining bright again. For the first time in his footballing career, he has scored in four consecutive league games — that is quite a run. Diego Costa is scoring for fun again, and assisting the team in ways unseen. 9 goals, 3 assists in 11 games is very fine, you’d agree. These amazing times may have been inspired by an Arsenal embarrassment, but it’s come and gone, and that is all that counts.

In a single season, we’ve beat some of the league’s best, and we’re lots of games away from the end. This is a wonderful time for Chelsea. I have never been more proud of the club, and I only pray the momentum continues, even after the international break.

King Jay is a writer/broadcaster with years of experience under his belt. His love affair with Chelsea actually began as a joke, but today, he stands tall as a die-hard blue. What makes him perfect for this blog? He lives for Chelsea FC, in fact, I heard he sat in the middle of a road, and refused to go home after that bitter loss to Barcelona in 2009. Haha.
