After 4-and-a-half years spent at Chelsea, Oscar is no longer a Chelsea player. The Brazilian has completed a move to the Chinese Super League, for a fee worth £60 million.

Many managers in the league have voiced their displeasure at the Oscar transfer, and it’s all because of what the money can do for Chelsea in January. The Oscar money will be a good investment that can help the club sign quality players.

See three stars Chelsea can buy with that money.

Marco Verratti

The PSG midfielder has been linked with Chelsea a number of times since last season, and reports have it that the midfielder is looking for an escape away from the France giants.

The 24-year-old would definitely be a better replacement for Oscar, and will easily slot into Conte’s 3-4-3 system.

James Rodriguez

The Real Madrid star is that kind of signing that can cause frenzy at the club. He has voiced his displeasure at being a benchwarmer at the Santiago Bernabeu and would be open for a move to Chelsea.

Real Madrid president is holding out for at least £60 million for the Colombian, and while this might be too much for a player that sits on the bench, we all know that its not about the lack of quality of Rodriguez but the manager Zinedine Zidane’s preference.

Radja Nainggolan

Although the Belgian has revealed he wouldn’t want to leave Roma this January, we all know the quality the 28-year-old possesses. His energy, work rate and tackling abilities will make him a force in the Chelsea midfield. Besides, he has one quality that makes him stand out — his shooting ability — something that’s lacking in this Chelsea squad.

Outside the players we have been linked with, I’d like the club to go for former Blue Ryan Bertrand. Chelsea are short of options in the wing-back department, and Bertrand has blossomed into being one of the best left-backs in the league. His pace, energy and ability to bust up and down the flanks, as well his dangerous crosses will be an asset to the team, and in my opinion, an upgrade on Marcos Alonso.
