Former West Ham manager Alan Curbishley believes Bournemouth can shock Chelsea at Stamford Bridge due to the absence of Diego Costa and N’Golo Kante.
Chelsea will be without Costa and Kante for Boxing Day’s clash against Bournemouth due to suspension.
Curbishley told Sky Sports: “They’re two big misses for Chelsea [Costa and Kante]. Probably, apart from [Eden] Hazard, them two have been the best two players.
“The goals that Costa’s been getting and in midfield Kante has been fantastic. It may be an area they [Bournemouth] could exploit.
“If you go to Stamford Bridge and you see the team sheet comes in without them two on it, it does give your team a bit of a lift, it must do.
“I think Eddie Howe will be looking at that and thinking perhaps that could be a chance to go and get a goal, especially what they did their last year (winning 1-0 in December).
