Antonio Conte has admitted Chelsea has money to spend after Chelsea received a fee of about £52million from the sale of Oscar to Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG.
Conte also revealed Chelsea would spend the Oscar money wisely and not spend it for the sake of spending.
Conte said: “When you have a good group and a new player can be added to go into the group, it’s very easy in a simple way.
“For sure, we sold Oscar and we have money to spend. But it’s important to spend money in the right way.
“To spend for spending’s sake, I don’t like this. I prefer to buy players, adapt our system, people who can come into our team and pass.
“But I repeat, it’s not easy in January in this window to find these type of players. But, with the club, we are working on these aspects.”
