Arsenal have snapped up highly rated defender Zech Medley, who formerly wore the jerseys of Chelsea.

The 16-year-old is a Chelsea academy product, where he played through the youth ranks from the age of eight.

After leaving Chelsea in October, he was offered a trial with Arsenal before impressing enough to earn himself a contract.

The centre-back joins the Arsenal academy as a scholar and has previously represented England at youth level.
