Chelsea legend Petr Cech and Manchester United great Edwin van der Sar both hold the record for the most clean sheets in a Premier League season.
Petr Cech kept 21 clean sheets when Chelsea won the Premier League in 2004/2005 while Van der Sar also kept 21 clean sheets in the 2008/09 season.
Chelsea found it difficult to keep a clean sheet when the season started as we kept just one (1) clean sheet in our first six (6) games.
Antonio Conte’s switch to the 3-4-3 system has seen Chelsea win eleven (11) consecutive Premier League games, keeping nine (9) clean sheets. Chelsea’s title charge has been based on being solid at the back while also tearing opposition defences apart.
After a poor form last season, Thibaut Courtois has bounced back to form this season and has began to show us his form that made him impress at Atletico Madrid.
Thibaut Courtois is on course to smash the Premier League clean sheet record after ten (10) clean sheets already this season in just seventeen (17) games.
If Courtois continues his current form of keeping ten (10) clean sheets in every seventeen (17) games, he will definitely break the Premier League clean sheet record.
Thibaut Courtois is currently the best goalkeeper in the Premier League this season and I believe he can smash the Premier League record for the most Premier League clean sheets in a season.
Do you think Thibaut Courtois can smash Petr Cech’s clean sheets record this season?
