Antonio Conte has dropped the slightest hint that Michy Batshuayi might play soon for Chelsea. The young Belgian has been reduced to peripheral roles since Conte switched to 3-4-3.
Conte has praised the 23-year-old, and also said that he should be ready for action any time.
“Michy is working very well and improving a lot. I’m sure, in the future, he will have his chance. He’s a young player, only 23, and he’s starting his football path. He has great talent, great potential. He wants to stay and I’m happy about that.
“It’s important now for Michy to be available against Stoke because if I need him he must be ready to play. Then we have another game against Tottenham and then the FA Cup match.
“It’s not easy to play in this league and it’s important to adapt to physical and tactical situations. We are working a lot with him, and other players, to improve. It’s important for me to see a great attitude in every training session. He will have his chance to show he deserves to play.”
