Despite a winning streak of 8 games, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is staying focused ahead of the game against West Brom. The Chelsea manager isn’t taking things for granted, as he’s aiming for yet another win.
Conte said: “To win eight games in a row is fantastic because in this league, in every game you have to fight a lot,” said the head coach. “You can win 2-0 but it is always very difficult to manage the result in England. In other countries, also in Italy, if you are 2-0 up with 20 minutes or 15 minutes to go, it is very difficult to change the result, because you are able to manage the result and tactical points.
“We must play game by game and if we are able to take three points, it’s important. This game will be a physical match because we face a team with a great physical condition and reputation and for this reason it is important to go onto the pitch with the same will to fight.” The Blues boss said.
The Blues boss also revealed that he has done his homework on West Brom and Tony Pulis very well.
He said: “I know Tony Pulis has never been relegated. This shows he is a really good manager and we must pay great attention because West Bromwich is a physical team, very good at set-pieces. They have good players with good technique. For sure this game will be very tough. They are playing very good and doing very well. They have 20 points so we must pay great attention.”
