Thibaut Courtois has been in excellent form this season, and in the last 12 games the Belgian has only conceded two goals.
On many occasions, Courtois has pulled off good saves after being idle for large spells of the game, and the big goalie has put it down to focus and concentration.
“Concentration is a big factor,” he states. “If you keep on shouting and being busy with the game you are always staying in it, and I think that is one of my strong points, focus and concentration during the game. I learned a lot of it when I was at Atletico which was a bit the same as now so I just try to be there for that one big save that can help us win a game.
“Against Bournemouth I managed to make two very good saves. The first one [from Jack Wilshere] was low to my right and after that there was a shot that was blocked by Azpi that maybe I could have reached but I am not sure, and then with the [Benik] Afobe shot, I saw him coming past [the defence] a bit so I knew I had to close the space and I made myself big, and I am two metres tall so I think it is hard to get the ball past me.”
