September 24 2016 is a day Chelsea fans, players and coaching staff will never forget. It’s a game bitter rivals Arsenal inflicted a 3-0 defeat on Chelsea, a game which the Blues were outplayed and battered in the London derby, and it’s also a game that marked Chelsea’s turnaround this season.
Thibaut Courtois has admitted that the loss against Arsenal hurt the players so much, although it made the team come back stronger.
Courtois said: “That defeat to Arsenal hurt us but we’ve come back stronger with the new tactics and system,”
“It works well, everybody is doing their job and we keep on winning. The spirit is very important.”
Since that defeat, Chelsea are yet to drop points after winning 11 games in a row.
