Antonio Conte inherited a team that finished 10th in the Premier League last season and a disgruntled dressing room.
Ex-Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has hailed Antonio Conte’s approach in unifying the Chelsea dressing room and believes Chelsea is successful because of Conte’s efforts to ‘put his arm around’ players who’d been low on confidence under Mourinho.
“Conte has come in there, put his arm round people,’ he said. ‘There is unity, they want to play together,” Schwarzer said as quoted by Metro UK.
“They’re fitter than they’ve every been. You saw it against Manchester City.
“It’s a testament to how they’re working and how determined they are to being successful.”
