Chelsea magician Eden Hazard is in scintillating form this season and has scored eight goals in 15 Premier League appearances for Chelsea this season.
Before Chelsea’s clash with West Brom on Sunday, Hoddle revealed on BT Sport exactly how to stop Eden Hazard.
Speaking on BT Sport, Hoddle said: “I think the opposition can come up with something that will force Hazard to go back and defend.
“Don’t forget, Chelsea only play with two central midfield players – they get outnumbered in there anyway.
“So I think you’ve got to be cute when you play against Chelsea and come up with something to cause Hazard to defend deeper.
“By playing someone outside of Alonso, really wide and letting your full-back join in – that could be something West Brom do today.”
Well, West Brom tried to stop Hazard by being very physical but they couldn’t stop Diego Costa from scoring the winning goal.
