Manchester City leapfrogged Arsenal and Liverpool into second place following City’s 2-1 victory over Arsenal at the Etihad.

After guiding his team to the victory over Arsenal, Pep Guardiola sent a warning to Chelsea that Manchester City will be ready be pounce if Chelsea slip up in the title race.

“We want to be there as much as possible, waiting for the opponent to fail sometimes and waiting for the last part of the season to be there and fight for the title,” Guardiola said.

Guardiola might be worried to know that Chelsea have won the Premier League title on every occasion that Chelsea have topped the table on Christmas Day.
