There were unsavoury scenes towards the end of the match, and it all showed another weakness of the Pep Guardiola-led side – they cannot take a defeat.

Chelsea were 3-1 up when Sergio Aguero lunged into David Luiz — a tackle that could have ended the Brazilian’s season.

The City players couldn’t hide their frustration, as a bulk of the squad lost their cool, especially Kelechi Iheanacho and Fernandinho. Fernandinho was duly shown a straight red card after he attacked Cesc Fabregas. Fabregas showed great maturity not to react to Fernandinho’s act, else it could have led to another scene.
