Chelsea have been linked with Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson, but Boro are trying to scare Chelsea away from their prized defender by placing a massive price tag on the defender.

According to the Mirror, Ben Gibson has been told he is going nowhere in January – and Middlesbrough have slapped a £35million price-tag on him to try to scare off Chelsea.

Boro are reluctant to sell Gibson in January, in order to keep their place in the Premiership, as they are gearing up for a relegation battle.

Blues boss Antonio Conte and his scouts have been eyeing Gibson as they look to strengthen their defence, but Boro has said he isn’t going anywhere in January.
