John Terry might just be playing his last season as a Blues player. The 36-year-old has been told by senior figures including manager Antonio Conte that his time is up at Chelsea, according to The Times.
After being given a late contract extension at the end of last season, the club are reportedly unwilling to give the Chelsea legend another contract. However, it is thought an ambassadorial or coaching role at the club is in the pipeline for the ex-England skipper.
Terry has lost his place in the team after Conte switched to a 3-4-3 system, a formation which isn’t suitable for the Blues captain.
The Blues chiefs are also keen for Terry to stay at the club in a new role rather than sign a deal elsewhere.
