Last season was a difficult one for Chelsea, and two Chelsea players who are key to the team were in dismal form last season — Eden Hazard and Diego Costa. Hazard struggled for form and Costa fluffed his lines.
However, the two forward players have been phenomenal this season, and their form is a major reason we’re top of the table. Against Manchester City on Saturday, we saw what they can do on their day. They both scored a goal and were involved in buildup to goals too.
Hazard and Costa have been directly involved in 72% of Chelsea’s goals this season. Costa has scored 11 league goals and has assisted 5, while Hazard has scored 8 and assisted 1. Interestingly, the pair have also assisted each other this season.
They are Chelsea’s dangermen, and if we must continue our march to the title, they both have to continue their form.
