Nemanja Matic is gradually turning into an assist king at Stamford Bridge.
The Serbian has provided an assist in each of Chelsea’s last six home matches in the Premier League. Isn’t that amazing? Meanwhile in his previous two campaigns for Chelsea, Matic only created 5 goals combined. This only shows the kind of form the 28-year-old is in this season.
Matic missed the last game against Manchester City, and while his replacement Cesc Fabregas was good with his passes, Matic’s absence was sorely missed, as the Blues midfield was constantly penetrated by City in the first half.
With Matic being able to assist and still defend, as well as how he has formed a formidable partnership with Kante in the midfield, it only suggests that he’s the right man to start against West Brom.
