Chelsea have been linked severally with Roma defender Kostas Manolas, and his agent Ioannis Evangelopulos has confirmed Chelsea’s interest and says a move at the end of the season could happen.
Evangelopulos said: “A departure this winter? We are aware of the interest of Manchester United and Chelsea, but for the moment I cannot say anything.
“But this summer, there may be something.”
The 25-year-old has been a big hit in Italy, and has attracted interest from many Premier League clubs and even China. But his agent also confirmed that he wouldn’t leave Roma for China, despite the money on ground.
“A move to China? We are talking about excessive offers.
“The figures being touted are stunning but Kostas has the option to play at the highest level and I would say China does not suit his ambitions.”
