Chelsea recalled Nathan Ake from his loan spell at Bournemouth, and the 21-year-old will be a part of the Chelsea team to play Brentford in the FA Cup clash today.
The youngster will come up against former Chelsea academy mate Josh McEachran, who’s now a Brentford player, and Ake has revealed he’s looking forward to facing an old mate.
He told the official Chelsea website: “It will be good to see Josh back here.
“I remember when I first came to Chelsea I was looking for digs and he was only 17 or 18, I went to his digs, to see how the house was and how it works. That was the first time I met him and I asked how things went, and then I saw him playing in the first team a couple of weeks later and that was funny, to see him there because he was so young then.
“When we played together in the Under-21s he saw a lot of passes and is really good on the ball. He is a really good player. I know he is looking forward to the game, I saw his tweet!”
