From the statements of Chelsea manager to the Blues captain and two-goal hero Marcos Alonso, it showed just how united the team is, despite the incident surrounding Diego Costa.

Speaking after the game, two-goal hero Alonso joined his manager to say that the speculation about Costa is baseless.

The wing-back said: “wasn’t feeling well because of his back.

“He’s very happy and will have a great enough season at Chelsea.”

Surely, it’s this kind of united front we want to see, as we fight to win the title.
