Michy Batshuayi’s start for Chelsea against Peterborough was only his fourth start of the season since joining Chelsea from Marseille in the summer.
Batshuayi got on the scoresheet and also assisted Pedro’s second goal as Chelsea defeated Peterborough 4-1.
Antonio Conte revealed after the game that he was impressed with the performance of Batshuayi.
“Michy played a good game,” Conte said. “During the game, he stayed with our philosophy and idea of football.
“He showed me great commitment and workrate and it’s always important for a forward’s confidence to score. He has to continue to work this way.
“He’s young, he’s improving and he showed that today. It’s important for him to give me the opportunity to have another solution.”
