Bournemouth want Asmir Begovic and have submitted a £10million bid for the goalkeeper.
Begovic has confirmed he wants to leave Chelsea this January and miss out on winning the title this season because he wants to play more.
Begovic also insisted he isn’t looking to force a move away but hopes Chelsea can find a solution before the transfer window closes on Tuesday night.
“My future is something that will be sorted out over the next couple of days – obviously the club decide. For me, it is about wanting to play,” Begovic is quoted by Standard Sport.
“I find it difficult not playing for a long time and that’s something that I would like to do. If the club would allow me to do that, under the right circumstances, then that’s what I’ll do.
“If not, I will continue to work hard and support everyone and the team. I have a huge respect for the manager and the club so they know my feelings and it is nothing other than wanting to play.”
With Chelsea eight points clear at the top of the Premier League, Chelsea are likely to become champions in May and Begovic might miss the chance of being a champion.
“That’s a tough part and I hope the team lifts the title and maybe I will be part of that,” Begovic added.
“But it is difficult when you don’t play for a certain amount of time and that overrides everything. I am a footballer, I like to play and I came here to challenge myself. I have enjoyed everything so far and if I am still here then I will continue to work hard and that’s all I can do.”
