Chelsea’s Christian Atsu, has helped Ghana reach the quarterfinals of the African Cup of Nations, and the Black Stars have progressed to the next round with a game in hand.

Atsu played the entire game for Ghana, featuring on the right side of the midfield, and it was former Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan who scored the only goal in an opening period, as Avram Grant’s men defeated Mali 1-0.

The result made it two wins from two fixtures for Avram Grant’s side who face Uganda in their final group game on Wednesday.
