Diego Costa sat out Chelsea’s 3-0 win against Leicester City on Saturday, and it’s yet to be seen when the Spanish international will return to the Chelsea team, after having a row with Antonio Conte.
The in-form striker has already banged in 14 goals in the league this season, and former Chelsea assistant manager Ray Wilkins believes it’ll be difficult for Chelsea to cope without Costa in the race for the title.
He told Sky Sports: “Obviously a couple of players have come out, like Thibaut Courtois, saying ‘of course we can win without Diego’ But if they are going to win the Premier League they are going to need this guy.
“He has been in fantastic form. Last year the guy was almost a disgrace, this year he has just been superb. He causes havoc for everyone.”
