Pedro provided one of the slickest touches you’d ever see, in the game against Leicester City on Saturday. The Spaniard combined pretty well with Willian to score against the Foxes, but the pass he gave to the Brazilian was just too good to be true.
Chelsea legend Pat Nevin was gobsmacked with the pass by Pedro, and revealed that if it was done by Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo or Neymar, the media would have been in frenzy.
He wrote in his column for the official Chelsea website: “I can’t tell you just how impressed I was by Pedro’s pass in the 71st minute, but I am going to have a good go at trying. In the build up to his goal he played the most sublime, imaginative, devastating pass I have witnessed for a long time. I kid you not; this touch is the sort only a few players in world football would even consider trying in a match situation.
“Had it been Neymar, Messi, Ronaldo or Hazard, we would have been gobsmacked by the skill and the cheek. So Pedro take a bow. It was one of those moments that I am happy to use the age-old cliché about – ‘It was worth the entrance fee on its own.’”
